Asbestos Projects Completed 02/23/09
Abscope recently completed a significant asbestos abatement project for the U.S. Air Force in Rome, New York. The project involved removing more than 1,500 linear feet of asbestos pipe insulation (that was elevated up to 30 feet); other materials abated included vinyl asbestos tile (VAT), mastic, caulking, and transite. The project, which was completed inside an occupied building with no disruptions to building occupants, was completed ahead of schedule and lasted 25 days. Abscope also recently completed three medium-sized projects at SUNY Morrisville. Work involved removal of floor tile, mastic, and thermal system insulation (TSI).
